Carden After School Sports
Through the YMCA
The PE department would like to support some Carden teams for a few sports throughout the year if we can get enough kids signed up for the teams.
Soccer
Co-ed teams of 4 to 11 years of age practice once a week and play games on Saturdays at Tortolita Middle School. The teams are divided by age brackets of 4/5 yrs, 6/8 yrs and 9/11 yrs of age. Practice begins the week of Sept 26th. Price is $45 member and $55 non member.
Baseball
Season starts Oct 1st. Coaches Pitch is for 6 to 8 year olds and helps develop the skills to play baseball. Price is $45 member and $55 non member.
Coed Volleyball
The semi-competitive league for 8-13 years of age starts Oct. 1st. Leagues are divided into 8-10 yrs and 11-13 yrs. Practices are at Northwest YMCA and games are Saturdays at multiple sites. Price is $45 member and $55 non member.
Basketball
Basketball programs are offered for 5 to 15 years of age. Non-competitive is offer and Rookie for ages 5 to 12 and competitive is offered in Jr. Suns, 6 to 15 years, and Jr. Mercury, girl league 6 to 12 years. Season begins the week of Sept. 24th for Rookie and Jr. Suns, Oct. 1st for Jr. Mercury. Price is $55 member and $65 non-member – $15 Jersey fee for Jr. Suns & Jr. Mercury.
Flag Football
Flag football is for girls and boys from the ages of 6 to 14 years of age. Season starts week of Sept. 24th. Price is $45 member and $55 non-member.
