Babysitting Night!

Help send the 8th graders to Washington D.C. and get a night out! 

When: Saturday December 10th, 2011

Time: 5:00PM- 8:00PM

Where: Carden of Tucson’s MPR

The 8th graders are happy to provide Carden families with a babysitting service for the night in order to raise money for their trip to D.C. Mrs. Livingood and Ms. Chilton will help the 8th graders provide a fun night of holiday games and crafts while parents are able to get some last minute shopping done or go out for a night together.

Cost: Donations.

Please let us know if you are interested in taking advantage of this service. Contact Mrs. Livingood or Ms. Chilton.

Three weeks to go!

I trust that each family had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I know I’ve said it before, but I sure do love Thanksgiving and all that it means! We have so very much to be thankful for in our great country! Thank you for allowing me to be apart of your education and helping each student grow!

These next three weeks will fly by! We have the Geo Bee coming up along with the Spelling Bee. Plus a presentation from SARSEF on Thursday and a trash pick up on Wednesday! Santa’s Workshop is coming up and the Aero-Space Challenge! If you have any questions, or need clarification about anything, please do not hesitate to contact me!

Also, seventh grade families, a letter will be going home on Friday about Secret Santas, please read the letter over and turn it back by the 6th of December!

Newsletter November 23, 2011

PTO News!!!!

  • Lunch orders for the week of December 5th-9th,  need to be turned in on Monday, November 28th.
  • Red, white, & blue polos are still available while supplies last.
  • Check out our new Website: www.cardenoftucson.org
  • Next PTO Meeting will be Wednesday, December 1st to finalize plans for Santa’s Gift Shop at 3:15 in the 3rd grade room.
  • If anyone wants to look at clothing housed in the Uniform Store, please contact Mrs. Post at 609-9470 and she will schedule a time to meet you at “the store”.

Santa’s Gift Shop

Our annual Santa’s Gift Shop will be held December 8th and 9th. This is the time that our students will shop for their family and friends. We are asking for donations for the shop and that you begin sending the items after Thanksgiving Break. Watch for sign up sheets to help. Help will be needed on Wednesday, December 7th to set up starting at noon and then on Thursday and Friday during the day to help in the Shop.

 8th Grade Gift Wrapping


The 8th will begin wrapping presents for anyone who wants it done on December 12th and 13th. Contact Mrs. Livingood for more information. Wrapping paper donations welcome.

The 8th Graders will do childcare at the school Saturday, December 3rd from 5:30-8:00PM for those who would like to go shopping. Price:donation.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Dear Middle School Families!

I just wanted to wish each and everyone of you a happy and wonderful Thanksgiving. Thank you for allowing me to work with you, it is a great joy for me, each day, to be able to participate in working with each one of my students. I wouldn’t change it for the world!

Just a heads up, the eighth graders’ games are due next Wednesday the 30th! Besides that, please do not forget to join us for the sixth graders awesome Plays tomorrow at 11:00 outside on the main stage! Otherwise, your students should have NO home work over vacation (except for the eighth graders).
