Fall is here!

Our first week back from fall break has been full of adventures!

Here are a few highlights:

Christopher Columbus:

There was so much to learn about Columbus! We enjoyed reading a poem about his adventure towards the New World. Below are some pictures of the students doing a writing activity where they must unscramble sentences about Columbus. They had so much fun and did a great job! We later used these sentences to make an informational paragraph. It was a big success!

Pumpkin Patch

Thank you, parents for all of your help during our trip to the Marana Pumpkin Patch! We had a great day picking pumpkins, petting farm animals, climbing Hay Mountain, riding a train, and more! I only have a few pictures to share, Ms. Davidson took many more with her camera and shared pictures with Ms. Gardner. Be looking for pictures to show up in the year book!

Marjorie Murrow

On Friday, we had the pleasure of meeting and talking with book author, Marjorie Murrow. She was kind enough to share with us the process of becoming an author or illustrator and read several of her own books to us. Mrs. Murrow had lots to share, and we soaked it all in!

Happy learning!
