Hello Carden Families,
We will be hosting parent-teacher conferences on Thursday, November 21st and Friday, November 22nd. Both days will be NOON DISMISSALS with the Enrichment Program available till 3:30 pm during your conference. This is an awesome opportunity to meet with your student's teacher to discuss their progress and performance so far this school year. We would love to have 100% attendance!

Popcorn Fundraiser!

Join PTO in selling popcorn this fall. Share with friends, family or you can reach out to businesses in the community. Prizes will be given to anyone who sells three or more items. Highest seller and highest selling class can win something too! Flyers were sent home in carpool.

Thank you to Mr. Claridge and all of our amazing students for honoring our veterans in today’s program. As we observe Veterans Day, we extend our deepest gratitude to all veterans within our school community. In both times of peace and conflict, their service has been vital to shaping the freedoms we enjoy today. We encourage all families to take time this Veterans Day to reflect on the sacrifices made by veterans and to celebrate the resilience, courage, and loyalty they represent.

Each week, we will share a tip to help you support your child's learning journey. Veterans Day offers a great opportunity to teach our children about respect, gratitude, and the value of service. Here are a few ideas for family activities:

Attend a local Veterans Day event or parade to show your support and appreciation.

Write thank-you letters or cards to veterans and deliver them to local veterans’ organizations, hospitals, or nursing homes.

Read a book about veterans together to help children understand their contributions. Books like The Wall by Eve Bunting or Hero Mom by Melinda Hardin provide heartfelt insights.

Observe a moment of silence at 11:00 AM on November 11th to remember those who have served.

Discuss family or community connections to veterans. Share stories about relatives or friends who have served and encourage children to ask questions.
