As we approach testing season for our 3rd-8th graders, we want to ensure that every student feels confident, prepared, and supported. While these assessments are just one way to measure learning progress, we understand they can bring stress and anxiety. The good news? Small, simple steps at home can make a big difference in helping your child do their best!

Weekly Tip for Supporting Students:
Test Taking Tips for Home
🛏️ Prioritize Rest & Routine A well-rested brain is a strong brain! Ensure your child gets at least 8–10 hours of sleep each night, especially leading up to test days. Sticking to a consistent bedtime and morning routine will help them feel refreshed and ready.
🍎 Fuel for Focus A healthy breakfast fuels brainpower! Provide protein-rich foods like eggs, yogurt, or whole grains to keep them energized. Staying hydrated is just as important—encourage water over
📅 Prepare the Night Before Reduce test-day anxiety by getting everything ready ahead of time. A smooth morning leads to a confident start!
🎉 Celebrate Their Hard Work Regardless of the test outcome, acknowledge your child’s effort and perseverance. A simple “I’m proud of you” or a small treat can boost their confidence and motivation!
