It was wonderful to see so many of you out and about flying kites this morning. Kite Day is a long-standing tradition at Carden that encourages community building and friendship. One of the things I love most about Carden is the genuine respect and friendship that is fostered within our community, we have GREAT students at Carden!

I hope everyone is looking forward to the Spaghetti Dinner and Talent Show on Friday, May 3rd. There are some great acts and lots of fun for us all to enjoy at this event.

The Carden Board has concluded its search for the next Director of Carden of Tucson and is excited to welcome Mrs. Beth Anderson to campus. You may have seen Mrs. Anderson with Mrs. Livingood over the past few weeks, if not, you will be able to say “hi” at the Spaghetti Dinner. Mrs. Anderson has over 30 years of experience in education both as a school leader and reading specialist. She and her husband relocated to Tucson from the Seattle area where her husband retired from the Seattle Police Department. We are all looking forward to welcoming the Anderson family to Carden!

We hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and is looking forward to coming back to school on Monday for more fun and learning!
