This event is for ALL students, their parents, family member and friends. The students are working hard to learn their songs and dances for this performance.

The Pima County Superintendent, Dustin Williams, will be in attendance for this performance and will speaking during the performance. We are excited to have him be a part of our awesome event!

We have just a few friendly reminders. Please read through the following information.

• Homework: if a student is absent, the student (middle school students) or the parent must e-mail the teacher before school in order to receive homework in the Office after school.

• Any student who is picked up before noon on a half day is considered absent. Make sure to keep students in class until 12:00 pm.

• Siblings of students who are participating in any extracurricular activity need to be monitored by their parent. Coach Hendricks and the parent volunteers are not available to watch students running around during practice.

Any questions, contact the Office. Thank you!

As of Tuesday, August 29th, water coolers were removed from classrooms. Students MUST bring their own water bottles (filled). To refill or replenish their water bottles, the water fountain outside or the tap water from the sinks in the classroom is available to all students.

The PTO has made this decision as the cost for maintaining the water coolers/water has increased and not within the budget. The water coolers may return in the future. The PTO is looking into putting water filters on the faucets in the classrooms.

Any questions, contact the PTO at cardenpto@cardenoftucson.org. Thank you

6th Grade Community Outreach Project:

Please help the 6th grade class connect with the Tucson community and strive to make a positive impact. Donations and checks (made payable to Humane Society of Southern Arizona) will be accepted through September 8th, 2017. As part of the project, the sixth grade class will be teaching other classes how to make dog beds and cat condos for the animals in the shelter. As the end of the project, sixth grade will deliver donations, checks, dog beds and cat condos on a field trip to the Humane Society.

Any questions, contact Mrs. Bennon at sbennon@cardenoftucson.org
