Hello Carden Families! It’s Coach P back with some PAWSitivity!

During these times I think we all could use a little positivity, encouragement, and fun, even if it’s within our homes! Below I’ve listed some fun activities you and your family can all try and encourage one another:

• Try a Family Game Night: teach them a new game, play cards, hangman, make your own trivia or jeopardy, hide n’ seek whatever their imagination comes up with!

• Try a Dance party: learn and teach each other different dances, YouTube - Just Dance and have a competition with them (THEY LOVE IT!)

• Build a Fort: Build a fort with blankets and chairs in your living room or bedroom and make it like they are camping.

• Get Outdoors: Go for a walk, bike ride or just sit outside with them as the sun rises or sets.

• Try a Pizza Night: Make your own pizzas and get creative.

• Try a Family Cooking Night: Look up a recipe they want to try or maybe that you want to try and either cook or bake with them. It’ll be fun to try new foods and let them be creative.

• Play the Floor is Lava: Set up pillows or any other objects that can be used as safe spots from the lava.

• Create a Scavenger or Treasure Hunt: Make a scavenger hunt around your house or your backyard. Come up with clues or hints to help each other out.

• Try to Plant: Whether you buy seeds or use the seeds from the foods you eat. Try to plant and grow a flower, vegetable or fruit with your kids. It’s a great way to teach them responsibility, patience and more.

• Get Crafty: Play with sidewalk chalk, learn to make a paper airplane, paint, make slime, make puppets, a popsicle stick birdhouse, there’s SO much!

• Make a time capsule! One day your kids can use it to tell their kids all about this craziness.

• Movie Night: Let them pick a movie and make some popcorn, buy their favorite candy and enjoy the time bundled up on the couch.

“Life’s about taking chances, trying new things, having fun, making mistakes, and learning from it.”
