Cougar Spotlight!

In response to a Weekly Reader debate in 4th grade Claire Anderson wrote:

Restaurants shouldn’t ban children because we have the right to go to fancy eating places. Children probably enjoy it as much or more than adults. It is also a fun way to eat and have a get-together. In the Declaration of Independence it says, “ALL men are created equal.” Adults aren’t more important than children. The Declaration of Independence also says, “That they are endowed by their creator with certain unalienable rights that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.” Children and adults are allowed the pursuit of happiness. If eating out is your pursuit of happiness, you have the right to pursue it.

Way to go Claire!
