Thursday, November 10th is the Veteran's Day Program at 10:30 am.


This coming Thursday, November 10th is our Annual Veteran's Day Program. The performance will begin at 10:30 am with students being released at the completion of the program. Invite friends and family for this special performance.


Dress Code for the Veteran's Day Program for Students:


K - 2: White Polo with navy blue bottoms

• 3 - 5: Royal Blue Polo (not baby blue or navy) with navy blue bottoms


6 - 8: Red Polo (not maroon) with navy blue bottoms


We wanted to say THANK YOU to everyone who came and supported our Fall Carnival. It was HUGE success! We couldn't have done it without the faculty, staff and parent volunteers.


The Book Fair will be on Thursday, November 10th at 8:30 am in the MPR and run until 12:30 pm.


Pennies for Pasta was a HUGE success! Six out of the 9 classrooms exceeded their goal of $150! We want to thank everyone who donated and helped with this incredible event.


Below is the current amount each grade raised for two weeks:

• Kindergarten: $74.26

• 1st Grade: $345.38

• 2nd Grade: $209.24

• 3rd Grade: $258.30

• 4th Grade: $200.49

• 5th Grade: $167.61

• 6th Grade: $66.07

• 7th Grade: $201.02

• 8th Grade: $96.66

The 1st and 3rd Grade earned the Pasta Party. All other grades that met their goal will receive a prize.


Picture retakes will be held on Thursday, December 1st in the MPR. This is the time for students who were absent for the original picture day or if you would like to have their original pictures redone. If you are choosing to have the pictures redone, the original picture packet (all pictures you ordered) need to be returned to school on December 1st.

To help keep our car pool line running safely and efficiently, please do NOT go to the classroom to pick your students up. We need to ensure that all students are being accounted for and we are not able to do so when parents enter classrooms without checking into the Office or with Ms. Chilton. Also, please do not park in the "Do Not Park" areas. That creates congestion and is not safe.

Enrichment Program Hours: 

Monday - Friday

Morning: 7:00 am to 8:00 am

Afternoon: 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm

Any Half Days, The Enrichment Program will NOT be available. Students MUST be picked up by 12:15 pm.

This month the 5th Grade Parents & Students have their Community Service Project. The Date of cleaning is Thursday, November 17th at 3:15 pm. Cleaning supplies will be in buckets in the Office with a check list. This is an opportunity for families to become a little more involved! Thank you for your continued support!

Dear Carden Students & Families,

Each student has been given 5 tickets to sell for $5 each for the Doll House Raffle. Proceeds will go to the library fund at Carden. Please return stubs and money to Mrs. Martinez as soon as possible to be entered into the drawing or return unsold tickets to the office. Remember, the family who sells the most tickets will be rewarded with a $50 Walmart gift card.
