First Week of First Grade!

Welcome to First Grade!

What a great first week to kick off the new school year! The students have already learned so much.

Here are a few highlights:

  • As a class we read a story called How Full is your Bucket?, where we learned the importance of kind actions and words.

Like everyone else, Anna has an invisible bucket. When it’s empty, she feels bad. But when it’s full, she feels great. Didn’t you ever notice your own bucket?”

  • We began reading about George Washington and the Revolutionary War.
  • The students are conducting their first science experiment on water and using the Scientific Method. The experiment will conclude this week.
  • Read about shapes and how we can use different shapes to create pictures.

We are so excited to see what this new year brings for the new students!
