PTO Meeting Minutes from 7/20/17

  • In attendance: Mrs. Martinez; Mr. Turner; Mrs. Cowan; Mrs. Baer; Mrs. Moore; Mrs. Grossi; Mrs. Harris; Mrs. Ram
  • Back to school packets in Friday send home and at Back to School night
  • Dollar for Duds being sent home for whole year; No duds in March due to Spirit Week
  • Budget for Back to School BBQ: $175
  • Back to School night: 8/7/17
  • Middle school meeting 5-5:30 (parent meeting)
  • BBQ starts at 5:30 – bring side dish or dessert; PTO bring condiments
  • 6:15 – 7:00 Meeting
  • Get rid of Sparklett’s water in classrooms? Mrs. Martinez will talk to teachers
  • Possibly buy filters for classroom faucets
  • Review budget for various events and awards throughout school year
  • Vending machine will be stocked by Mrs. Martinez; proceeds go to PTO; machine is donated
  • Polar Express on December 15; wear pajamas; various snacks for middle school to sell; raffle to Disneyland?
  • Reading week: Dress as favorite character and have parade?
  • Lunches: Monday is Chick-Fil-A, Wednesday is Domino’s
  • Need lunch volunteers to serve!
  • PTO meetings: 8/17; 9/23 (during constitution rehearsal); 10/19; 11/16; 12/14; 1/18; 2/15; no March meeting; 4/5; 5/3 (6:00 pm for all meetings, at Carden)
  • School cleaning days: 9/29; 3/9 half-day Fridays, pizza provided
  • Tax talk 11/9 regarding school tax credit
  • 8/22 for first fundraiser dinner night
  • Need someone to head Fall Festival on 11/3; 11/2 meet to create raffle baskets at 5:30
