Hello Families!
Welcome to another new week! Theres a lot going on around here, so lets get started!
First off, here are the weekly outlines for this week:
- 6th grade is moving into learning about the life of Jesus, as well as some of his followers.
If you have questions regarding this, please feel free to contact me. - 7th grade is shifting gears from Geography into learning about the Civil War. This comes at a perfect time too, as many of our 7th graders are participating in the Washington, DC trip in just a few short weeks.
- 8th grade is moving into how America advanced after the Civil War, including the Transcontinental Railroad and the development of new industries.
Second, I have had a few parents inquire about having spelling words posted, so here are the spelling words for 7th grade this week:
Spelling – Grade 7 – Lesson 20
We will be having a small class party for Valentine’s day on FRIDAY, FEB. 13th.
Students are welcome to bring in goodies for the class, but please make sure there is enough for 15!
*PLEASE BE AWARE THAT WE HAVE STUDENTS WITH FOOD ALLERGIES, AND PLEASE REFRAIN FROM BRINGING ANYTHING WITH NUTS*
Also, the Washington, DC team and students are hosting a fundraiser for Carden Families on Valentine’s Day. We are offering Carden Families a babysitting service for a kid-free date night on Valentine’s Day. If your student is going on the DC trip and would like to benefit from this fundraiser, please have them at school by 4:00 in the MPR, and prepare to have them stay until 8:00.
